The first chapter of the book talks about what history is and the importance of history introduction and history lessons. Chapter 2 discusses the four most famous world civilizations: Egypt, Indus, Greek, and Rome.

In ancient times our Bengal was divided into different villages. Each town had its own characteristics.

The Big history of Bangla discussed in the 3rd chapter of this book Civilization. Then the political history of ancient Bengal from 328 BC to 1204 AD and Chapter 5 deals with the social, cultural and economic history of ancient Bengal.

In this book of class 9 there also discussed about the ancient period, the political history of medieval Bengal from 1204 to 1757.

There discussed Then the socio-economic and cultural history of medieval Bengal in the seventh chapter of the book World Civilization. After the Middle Ages, English rule began in Bengal.
